Goals

I need a place to hold myself accountable.  I can't stop making excuses for myself as to why I haven't started eating healthy, or stopped eating junk, or started working out, or stopped being sedentary, or stopped over spending, or started saving money.  So, let's start with some goals.  The goals all go hand in hand, and one goal helps to accomplish the next.  I feel like eating healthy and less results in saving money, for example.

Goals:
1.  Create healthy meal plans/meals/snacks.  Try to go mostly vegetarian.
2.  Be active at least 3 times a week
3.  Reduce spending

How to accomplish said goals:
1.  Meal plan/shop/prep on Sundays.  Enlist help if needed.  Create a go-to meal plan with grocery list.
2.  Jog on trampoline.  Take a walk if it's not too cold.  Go to gym (pay per visit, so I would have to limit this).
3.  Meal planning reduces eating out and over spending at grocery store.  Try to finish food in the fridge/freezer/pantry before purchasing more -- or incorporate what we already have into future meal plans.  Be more thoughtful with clothing purchases -- try the thrift store.  Fewer presents/treats make us more appreciative of treats when we do buy them.

They say it takes at least 30 days to create/break a habit.  It is just a matter of starting, sticking with it, and quitting with the excuses!  I am going to give myself until Sunday to get this plan situated.  I currently have a cold (again), still have food to eat up, and it's never easy to start any new projects during the week when I am watching kids by myself!

I am going to try to use this blog to hold myself accountable for at least 30 days.  I also plan to use the MyFitnessPal app to track eating.  Hopefully I can find a way to capture that information and put it here.  This blog isn't for anyone else, but me.  I am not going to put undue pressure on myself to make this blog wonderful, beautiful, or special.  Instead it will serve as a digital journal space.
